About The Ministry

Last Frontier Ministries is an evangelistic organization based in Healy, AK. About the Project

The need for a more constant missionary presence in the village led LFM to purchase land in Minto in 2022, and they've requested construction volunteers to do some building repairs and renovations on the church house, and also start construction on a bunkhouse for missionary housing. The bunkhouse will consist of a 16' x 20' cabin built on pier blocks. Work on the church house will include kitchen appliances, adding 2 showers, and sanding & staining the exterior of the log building.

During that time they focused 75% of their outreach teams to the nation of Papua New Guinea. Over the past eight years they've been leading different initiatives in Papua New Guinea, from pioneering the Discipleship Bible Schools in PNG, raising up local leaders, and adopting 33 languages to translate. They've been a part of raising funds for the translation work in Madang and the YWAM Liberty ship in PNG. In 2019 they moved to Kona, Hawaii to join the leadership team of End Bible Poverty Now. The UofN Kona campus also asked them to lead all initiatives for Papua New Guinea so they'll be moving to Papua New Guinea full time this January to lead the base in Madang. Madang is the most concentrated place in the world for languages without the Bible!

Project:

YWAM Madang Bible Translation & Distribution Center, along with a base to host a Discipleship Training School. The property now consists of a large vacant steel building warehouse on the waterfront. Plans are to erect a 2-story, wood framed build-out inside the existing steel shell. Facilities will include an auditorium, translation offices, recording, studio, DTS classrooms, offices, restrooms, and a cafe. Early teams will work on building the restrooms and getting septic and utilities functional, to be followed with all the interior framing and finishes.

Project Forecast:

We are sending one team for now and with potential for more in the future.

"Flashpoint Missions has been working on our campus so that we can host Youth With A Mission and start a discipleship training school through their organization."

"In 2014 we met Dan Esh in Kona, Hawaii which formed a relationship that is continuing strong to this day. Since 2016 Dan Esh has been bringing short term teams to build our 3600 ft.² mechanic shop with apartment above it, our pavilion, coffee shop, and finally our dormitory, which will also hold the discipleship training school."

"Without the help of Dan Esh and Flashpoint Mission‘s this project would have been impossible. They started by bringing one or two short term two week mission building teams. In the last several years they have been hosting five teams per summer, just here in Healy. The young men and women who have come up mainly from Lancaster Pennsylvania has been a godsend to Last Frontier Ministries/Ywam Denali."

"If you have not had the opportunity to serve with Flashpoint missions, I highly recommend that you would do so. They have not only helped last frontier Ministries/Ywam Denali, but they help numerous other organizations just like us that without their help, it would be impossible to accomplish the construction needs that we have as missionaries, and still do ministry.

Thank you Flashpoint Missions for all you do."

Kokrine Hills Bible Camp

Yukon Flats, Alaska

Who We Are Serving

The ultimate goal of KHBC is to see God glorified as students come to salvation in Jesus Christ and grow in the knowledge of Him. Therefore we preach God’s Word to those attending camp for 2 Timothy 3:15-17 says, "and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." Who Are We Serving?

In a nutshell our mission is stated in Matthew 28:18-20

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

Kokrine Hills Bible Camp is exactly that: a Bible Camp! All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."

While the Word of God is our priority, we believe that you do not have to sacrifice fun in order to have sound, biblical teaching. Just to make sure of that, we load up the week with intense team games designed to build lifelong friendships. When folks leave camp we hope they continue in Biblical discipleship relationships to encourage, counsel, pray for, help, and admonish one another to become more Christ like.

Trip Forecast:

We plan to send teams as indefinitely as needed.

"The Flashpoint team's construction help has enabled us to continue on the mission we have been called to, preaching the gospel and discipling believers."

Testimonies

"My wife and I wanted something more fulfilling than a vacation for our family this summer so when the opportunity arose to go to Healy, Alaska with our family as a unit we were excited to serve alongside our children."

We wanted to introduce our kids to serving in God's kingdom in a meaningful way, to make a difference.

Also, it's a blessing to see our kids experience the wildlife in Alaska, Jonah (our youngest) has an obsession with wildlife. Being able to see four moose up close in one hike was an absolute thrill to him!!

Desh and Kathryn are church friends of ours and we are eternally grateful to them and Flashpoint Missions for providing an avenue for us (along with many others) to impact God's kingdom for his Glory.. Thank you!

-Steve and Kath-

"First of all, a huge" Thank You" to Desh and Kath, and Flashpoint Missions for making this trip Possible.

I first came to Alaska on June 28 2023 on a two week trip, but soon after I was here, decided to extend my stay, and eventually canceled my flight home all together hand ended up staying all summer This has been a life changing trip. Plus I got to travel to places like Old Minto and Mcgrath and help the people there for a while."
