Board Members and Staff
Dan and Kathryn Esh
Desh@flashpointmissions.org
Dan & Kathryn Esh are the founders of FlashPoint Missions, and live in Narvon, Pennsylvania with their 5 children.
They love traveling, seeing different parts of the world, and most of all, working with other believers to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ go forth into the nations! When not serving in missions, they run a small construction business and homeschool their children.
Desh serves as the Executive Director of Flashpoint, overseeing field operations and organizational development.
Benuel & Dorothy Glick
Benuel & Dorothy Glick joined the Flashpoint Missions board in early 2023. They live in Lancaster, PA with their children ages 18, 16, and 4. They are passionate about caring for young children through their local children and youth foster organization and are currently caring for a 9 month old boy.
They are especially grateful to God for salvation through Jesus Christ and have a heart to empower the gospel to spread throughout the world.
Benuel runs a small construction business, doing agriculture and commercial building projects. As a family, they enjoy road trips, hunting, camping, and trips to the beach.
Dave and Barb King
Dave is the Travel Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for Flashpoint Missions and we are grateful for the amazing job he does behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly! He lives in New Holland PA with his wife, Barb.
Dave first went to Alaska in 2018 and on that trip God encountered him radically and a heart for missions and the people of Alaska came alive! He is passionate about partnering with other believers across the nations to spread the gospel to unreached people groups.
John Henry Smucker
John is the Media Manager for Flashpoint Missions and currently resides in Paradise PA, where he runs a small construction business.
His first trip outside of the lower 48 was an Alaska mission trip with Desh and Kath in 2019 before Flashpoint was an organization. It was a trip that changed his life in a few different ways. He fell in love with Alaska but most important, he gave his life to Jesus!
He spends his free time (when it presents itself) reading, playing guitar or riding his motorcycle
Steven and Ada Ruth King
Steven and Ada Ruth King have been a part of Flashpoint Missions almost since it's inception and currently serve on the Board of Directors as treasurer.
They live in Cochranville PA with their three children and have a passion to be part of advancing Gods Kingdom and to see people find freedom in Christ. Steven co-owns an outdoor living and stone masonry business, Stonescape Outdoors.
Jake and Martha Smucker
Jake and Martha Smucker joined Flashpoint Missions in 2024, serving on the Board of Directors. They live in Gap, PA, where they're raising their five children. Jake is the owner of J. Smucker Contracting, a commercial roofing company. They also grow and sell flowers at the Green Dragon Farmers Market. Jake spent time in Mississippi in his twenties helping with clean up efforts after Hurricane Katrina, and took several trips to Mexico with YWAM as a mission builder, shaping his passion to give local youth chances to serve and make a difference.
