Register NowMinto is a village of 80-100 residents, situated on the backwaters of the Tolovana River, about a 3 hour drive north and west from Fairbanks, AK. Our friend Patrick Smith, a lifetime resident of Minto, has a vision to transform the former Council Hall building into a youth center!
This will provide a much needed safe facility for the youth in Minto to connect and grow together as a community in a healthy environment, while also providing them access to Christ centered mentoring and encouragement! The project consists of gutting most of the log structure, replacing the windows, re-finishing the exterior, installing a new heating system, and all new interior finishes. From tear-out to plumbing, electrical, and all the way to painting and finishes, your skill set is needed on this project! The projected opening date for the new youth center is fall 2023, sign up today!
Since 1950, Kokrine Hills Bible Camp has existed to bring the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the native youth of Alaska! Situated on the lower Yukon River in the Yukon-Koyukuk wilderness, KHBC is centrally located to provide summer camps for many of the villages on the Yukon River. With no road connection, access is mostly by air or boat, and getting there is half the adventure! It takes a lot of work to operate a Bible camp in a remote location like this and KHBC would appreciate your efforts to make it possible!
Projects include updating and constructing a few buildings and updating a basketball court, among other things
